WORLD RECORD SERIES - TARGET SET 1

WORLD RECORD SERIES - TARGET SET 1
Set of LaserHIT premium paper, heavy-duty, or magnetic resized wall-targets designed specifically for World Record Series speed-shooting drill. The target’s pattern designed to increase instrumental precision and the robustness to light sensitivity. Please select the TYPE from the drop-down menu to see the actual image.
Background: On September 11, 1999, legendary shooter Jerry Miculek fired 8 shots at 4 targets in just 1.06 seconds, establishing a world speed-shooting record. LASERHIT recreates the eight-hit, four-target challenge using laser-based dry fire. Review RESOURCES chapter for details.

THE WORLD RECORD SERIES DRILL OBJECTIVE
Only the LASERHIT World Record 4-Target sheet is supported (see Notes [2 and 3]).
Double-action (DA) handguns and revolvers equipped with LASERHIT HD cartridges, or CF Trainers are highly recommended for this drill. Generic cartridges, laser trainer–type firearms, and DFM-BO–style systems are also supported, but their longer laser pulses may limit reliable hit detection at world-record shooting speeds.
This is a dry-fire challenge inspired by Jerry Miculek's 1999 speed-shooting achievement. Results are for training and entertainment only and do not constitute official world records.
OBJECTIVE
Register 8 hits across 4 targets, with at least one hit on each target. Any target zone counts as a hit. Range: 6 yards (see Note [1]). Timing: first to last hit. Time limit: 8 sec.
GOAL
Complete all 8 hits in under 1.06 seconds. All four targets must be hit. No make-up shots. No partial credit. Any miss or timeout results in an 8-second score.
WHAT YOU NEED
LASERHIT World Record 4-Target sheet (scale 1:3) and a LASERHIT Training Kit.
Alternatively, download and print the free target or purchase it from the LASERHIT website, use your own compatible laser device, and mount a smartphone on a stable tripod (see Note [4]).
NOTES
[1] Range refers to the real-world equivalent distance of 6 yards. Firing Range is the actual indoor distance, calculated automatically based on target scale before training begins (2 yards at 1:3 scale).
[2] The LASERHIT World Record 4-Target sheet at a 1:3 scale is required to maintain correct spacing and difficulty. Other targets are not supported and will be disqualified for this drill.
[3] Go to Section Get Kit, Extra Cartridges, Targets and scroll to the bottom. You can print the target directly with Print Me or download through the LASERHIT Targets webpage.
[4] A stable phone position is required. Use a horizontal phone orientation, placed approximately 2–5 feet from the target, with the rear camera facing the target to ensure a clear, consistent view.
[5] Timing begins with the first registered hit and ends with the eighth registered hit. Reaction time and movement before the first hit are excluded.
DRILL DETAILS
On September 11, 1999, legendary shooter Jerry Miculek fired 8 shots at 4 targets in just 1.06 seconds, establishing a world speed-shooting record.
This drill recreates the eight-hit, four-target challenge using laser-based dry fire. The highlighted target zones provide a visual reference, but hits anywhere within each target are accepted.
Speed is the primary objective. The challenge tests rapid target transitions, trigger control, and the ability to maintain accuracy during fast shooting.
DRILL PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
LASERHIT registers each hit, measures elapsed time from the first to the eighth hit, and determines whether all four targets were engaged within the 1.06-second goal.
