Welcome to DRILLS. Structured Training. Measurable Progress.

For years, shooters have trained with LaserHIT in many different ways. With the release of DRILLS on the LaserHIT iOS platform, that experience takes a structured step forward. FreeTarget practice, QuickHit draws, accuracy work with TopScore, BlackSteel challenges, and more have always worked, but feedback from real users kept pointing to the same issue.

Practice without structure becomes repetitive.
Practice without clear goals becomes vague.
Practice without saved measurements becomes guesswork.

DRILLS were created to solve that. Not by inventing something artificial, but by organizing training the way shooters already think and train, then making results clear, measurable, repeatable, saved, and accessible on your iPhone or iPad.

Why DRILLS Exist

Improvement starts with understanding. You need to know what you are training, why you are training it, and whether it is actually working.

DRILLS give structure to everyday practice. Each drill defines a specific skill, a clear objective, and a measurable goal. Precision, accuracy, speed, reaction time, consistency, and decision-making are no longer abstract ideas. They are tracked as real numbers and shown immediately after every stage.

This turns training into a feedback loop. You shoot. The system measures. You adjust. You improve.

That is the foundation behind DRILLS.

What DRILLS Really Are

A DRILL tells you:
• what the drill’s goal is
• what to do
• how many shots to fire
• how much time you have
• the actual firing distance, confirmed before training starts
• what success looks like
• how your performance changes from stage to stage

There is no interpretation required. After each stage, LaserHIT evaluates your performance against the drill goal using real measurement units. Group size, score, time, Hit Factor, zone scoring, or penalties are calculated in real time and displayed immediately.

You do not guess whether a run was good. The drill answers that question.

Designed to Start Easy, Not Simplistic

One of the strongest messages from customer feedback was clear. Training should be powerful, but it should not be complicated.

DRILLS are designed to start fast. Select a drill, confirm your laser cartridge or laser device type, run Express Setup, and begin. Targets, scales, and training distances are already defined. LaserHIT automatically detects the target scale and calculates the correct firing distance based on the drill’s objective.

Everything needed to start training is displayed directly on the Drill Details screen. All required targets are available there and can be printed for free, allowing you to start immediately.

This removes setup friction and lets you focus on execution instead of configuration.

Progress That Builds Over Time

Every completed stage contributes to a long-term performance profile for that specific drill. Each drill maintains its own statistics and progress graphs, allowing you to track improvement where it actually matters.

You will see:
• the most recent result
• progress toward the drill goal
• success rate over time
• indicators of improvement or regression
• time since your last session

These stats are not there to overwhelm you. They exist to answer practical questions.
Am I improving.
Am I consistent.
Am I training often enough.

Measurement turns effort into direction.

Competitive DRILLS and Performance Dashboards

Some DRILLS include an optional Competitive Mode.

When enabled, LaserHIT uses Apple Game Center on iOS to provide verified leaderboards and rankings. Competitive results are separated from personal drill statistics, while detailed performance data remains stored locally on your device.

Each competitive drill includes its own Performance Dashboard, showing shot-by-shot breakdowns, stage summaries, best and average results, and long-term trends. Competition becomes another measurement tool, not a distraction.

Handgun and Rifle. Version 1

The first public release includes 12 drills.

Eight handgun drills covering precision, accuracy, defense, speed, and competitive performance.
Four rifle drills focused on short-distance control, accuracy, and accountability.

These drills are built on established shooting standards, not assumptions. They form a foundation that will continue to grow.

Legacy Training Is Still There

DRILLS do not replace classic LaserHIT practice modes.

If you prefer the traditional workflow, simply uncheck the “Go to DRILLS” option on the app’s first screen. You can move freely between DRILLS and legacy practice at any time.

LaserHIT remains flexible and customizable by design.

Before You Go

DRILLS are not about doing more. They are about doing better.

More drills are coming. More categories will follow. What matters most is that every addition keeps the same principle intact.

You cannot improve what you cannot measure.
DRILLS exist to make improvement visible.
