The Right LaserHIT Kit for Your Training Style
Updated September 2026
Choosing your first LaserHIT training kit is only the beginning.
Your firearm may change. Your caliber may change. You may start with basic accuracy and precision, then move into scoped-rifle practice, positional work, longer recreated distances, or ballistics.
That does not necessarily mean starting over with another complete training kit.
Today, the LaserHIT All Products page brings complete dry fire training systems, laser cartridges, targets, scope gear, and accessories together in one place. The better question is not only, “Which kit should I buy?” It is also, “What do I already have, and what do I want to do next?”
STARTING FROM ZERO?
A complete training kit is usually the simplest place to begin.
For pistols, revolvers, shotguns, and non-scoped rifles, LaserHIT offers SIGNATURE, CLASSIC, and HERITAGE as our current featured training kit family. Each includes the Wireless-X adapter by default, providing enhanced visual and audible immediate feedback on a larger screen during practice.
Already have Wireless-X from an earlier LaserHIT setup, or prefer to use another screen-mirroring option? Our BASIC A5, BASIC Mini, and BASIC Plus training kits remain available without Wireless-X, so you do not have to purchase equipment you already have.
For scoped rifles and longer recreated distances, the choices expand.
The Long Range Edition provides a portable starting point for indoor long-range practice.
500yd Range™ is designed around 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500-yard practice with your own scoped rifle.
KYL 500yd™ brings the 500-yard Know Your Limits challenge into an 8-yard indoor space, with ballistic options available through Pro Access on iOS.
If you are still deciding where to begin, see our guide Which LaserHIT Kit Fits You?
ALREADY HAVE A KIT? BUILD ON IT.
Already know what you want to add? Explore LaserHIT All Products.
The All Products page is about more than comparing complete training kits. It is also where you can find what you need to expand the setup you already own.
You may already have much of what you need.
Instead of buying another complete training kit, look at what can be added to your existing setup: another laser cartridge for a different firearm or caliber, a different target set for a new challenge, scope gear for short-distance indoor use with high-magnification optics, or accessories that make your setup more convenient. LaserHIT offers these components separately.
Your training style can change without replacing everything you already own.
WHICH CARTRIDGE FITS YOUR DISTANCE?
LaserHIT cartridges are not divided only by firearm or caliber. Start with the type of practice and distance you want to recreate.
For handguns, revolvers, and shotguns used at common handgun and home-defense distances, and AR-15-style rifles used for close- to mid-range practice, start with the LaserHIT standard cartridge selection. Choose the cartridge that matches your firearm and caliber.
For precision rifles and recreated mid-range or long-range distances, start with our rifle cartridge selection.
This includes Long Range laser cartridges for common rifle calibers, Composite cartridges for less-common calibers, and Custom cartridge solutions developed for specific firearms when a standard option does not fit the application.

Already own a LaserHIT training kit? You may only need the appropriate cartridge to add another firearm, caliber, or distance to the way you practice.
WANT A DIFFERENT CHALLENGE? LOOK AT THE TARGET FIRST.
A target can do much more than give you something different to aim at.
With LaserHIT, different target sets can change the type of practice, distance, target geometry, scoring, and available App features while much of your existing training setup stays the same.
For handgun practice, choose from LaserHIT targets developed for different drills, scoring formats, distances, and training objectives.
Explore LaserHIT Handgun Targets
For rifle practice, target sets can take the same setup in very different directions—from general rifle practice to Positional Targets™, KYL 500yd™, and recreated mid-range and long-range distances.

Want to move into positional rifle practice? Add the corresponding Positional Target™ set.
Want to take KYL 500yd™ further? Add the KYL 500yd + Ballistics target set and Pro Access.
Want to introduce ballistic drop and wind into supported long-range practice? Add the appropriate ballistic target set and use the available ballistic features through Pro Access on iOS.
Before looking for another complete training kit, look at what another target set can add to the one you already have.
YOUR SCOPE CAN COME WITH YOU.
Indoor distance creates a particular challenge for scoped-rifle practice: your optic still needs to give you a usable, repeatable sight picture at an unusually short physical distance.
That is why LaserHIT lists Scope Gear as its own product category.
The current options include the LaserHIT 37 mm 25 ft Rifle Scope Focus Adapter for fixed 8-yard practice and the 55 mm 12/25/50 ft Rifle Scope Focus Adapter for additional indoor-distance options, along with individual and Universal Focus Adapter Rings for different scope dimensions.
The goal is simple: keep using your rifle and your optics while adapting them to the indoor distance.

SOMETIMES YOU JUST NEED ONE MORE PIECE.
Not every change needs to alter the practice itself.
Sometimes you want your results on a larger display. Sometimes you need a tablet holder. Sometimes you want a dedicated carrier for additional cartridges.
LaserHIT accessories are available separately for exactly that reason.
The current All Products page includes Wireless-X for low-latency wireless screen mirroring, tablet mounting, cartridge carriers, storage capsules, and other supporting hardware.
Add what makes your existing setup work better for you. Leave the rest alone.
ALREADY HAVE ANOTHER LASER DEVICE?
You may still be able to use the LaserHIT App without replacing hardware you already own.
For supported third-party laser devices, select the appropriate Cartridge Type within the LaserHIT App. For generic laser trainers, select Other -> Generic so the App can apply the corresponding detection settings.
This does not make every laser device equivalent. Different laser trainers can have different signal characteristics, laser dot size, alignment, consistency, and registration rates.
For precision-rifle practice with ballistics, and especially when recreating mid- and long-range distances where very small angular differences matter, we highly recommend using only LaserHIT LR laser cartridges. Their electronics and laser optics are specifically configured to produce a small, precise, and repeatable laser dot required for this type of practice.
Third-party and generic laser devices may still be suitable for supported LaserHIT drills where this level of long-range precision is not required.
If you later want to move to LaserHIT hardware, cartridges are available separately. You do not necessarily need to purchase another complete training kit.
Before You Go:
YOUR FIRST KIT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR LAST CONFIGURATION.
Choose the complete training kit that makes sense for you today.
Then change the configuration when your practice changes.
Add another caliber. Add another target. Move into longer recreated distances. Add scope gear. Add ballistics where supported. Put your results on a larger screen.
The core idea is simple: build on what you already have before starting over.
