    OBJECTIVE

    Fire 10 shots at center mass. Time limit: 3 minutes. Range: 25 yards (see Notes [1]).

    GOAL

    Achieve a sub-1-inch group. Repeatable precision under control.

    WHAT YOU NEED

    LASERHIT B3 target (scaled) and a LASERHIT Training Kit.

    Alternatively, print a free B3 target, use your own laser cartridge or laser training device, and mount a smartphone on a tripod.

    No rifle optics are required. You may use a red dot, EOTech, LPVO, or iron sights.

    NOTES

    [1] Range refers to the real-world distance defined for the drill. Firing Range is the actual indoor distance and is calculated automatically based on target scale before training begins.

    [2] The LASERHIT B3 target at a 1:10 scale is recommended; other genuine LASERHIT targets may also be used.

    [3] When using custom targets, use a solid, dark target surface for best detection. A LASERHIT reload mark is needed and can be downloaded for free from the LaserHIT website (laserhit.com/targets). Set the correct Target Scale during Firing Range setup before starting the drill.

    Group size is measured as the distance between the two most distant shot impacts and serves as a clear indicator of marksmanship fundamentals such as stability, sight alignment, trigger control, and follow-through.

    Achieving a sub-1-inch group at a Range of 25 yards requires refined fundamentals and equipment consistency, providing measurable feedback on accuracy development over time. This drill establishes a precision benchmark before introducing speed, movement, or positional complexity. Shooters may further challenge themselves by using alternative positions such as kneeling or tripod-supported.

    • 100% - Progress toward the goal based on the latest result

    • Goal - Group size under 1 inch

    • Group - Most recent result and change from the previous stage

    • Red number - Indicates regression from the previous stage

    • Green number - Indicates improvement from the previous stage

    • Success - Indicates whether the goal was met in the most recent stage

    • Success Rate - Percentage of stages in which the goal has been met

    • Down Time - Time elapsed since the last stage was completed
