Ultimate Accuracy
Goal: Accuracy < 0.5 inch at 25 yards, 10 shots
-
Practice: FREE TARGET • ADVANCED
Target: LASERHIT B3
Target Scale: 1:10
Firing Range: 2.5 yards
Stage: 10 shots
Goal: Accuracy < 0.5-inch
-
Use a crosshair overlay on the target center mass. Fire 10 shots at the crosshair center. Time limit: 3 minutes. Range: 25 yards (see Notes [1]).
GOAL
Achieve a Accuracy under 0.5 inch. Controlled perfection and mastered confidence.
WHAT YOU NEED
LASERHIT B3 target (scaled) and a LASERHIT Training Kit.
Alternatively, print a free B3 target, use your own laser cartridge or laser training device, and mount a smartphone on a tripod.
No rifle optics are required. You may use a red dot, EOTech, LPVO, or iron sights.
NOTES
[1] Range refers to the real-world distance defined for the drill. Firing Range is the actual indoor distance and is calculated automatically based on target scale before training begins.
[2] The LASERHIT B3 target at a 1:10 scale is recommended; other genuine LASERHIT targets may also be used.
[3] When using custom targets, use a solid, dark target surface for best detection. A LASERHIT reload mark is needed and can be downloaded for free from the LaserHIT website (laserhit.com/targets). Set the correct Target Scale during Firing Range setup before starting the drill.
Laser Zeroing (Recommended)
For best accuracy, perform Laser Zeroing for each drill. At the Cease Fire state, tap the crosshair icon in the top panel. Align the crosshair with your point of aim and follow the on-screen prompts to register three zeroing shots. Once confirmed, LASERHIT applies this adjustment to all hits in the drill. Re-zero whenever you change firearms, remove the laser cartridge, or adjust your setup.
DRILL DETAILS
This drill develops ultimate rifle accuracy by measuring deviation from the exact point of aim. During Express Setup (Step 2), the shooter must manually position the crosshairs precisely at the intended aim point on the target to establish a true reference.
Unlike group-based drills that evaluate how tightly shots cluster, this drill evaluates how precisely each shot lands relative to the crosshair center. Measuring offset exposes zero error, shooter bias, and subtle inconsistencies in sight alignment, trigger control, and follow-through.
An Accuracy under 0.5 inch at a Range of 25 yards represents mastered fundamentals and disciplined execution. This level of accuracy builds confidence in shot predictability and serves as a final confirmation of control before introducing speed, movement, or positional complexity.
DRILL PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
After each shot, LASERHIT displays windage (left/right) and elevation (up/down) in real-world units (inches). Once all shots are completed, LASERHIT calculates the Accuracy for the stage.
-
Accuracy - Deviation from the crosshair center
0.33 - Most recent Accuracy (inches)
100% - Progress toward the goal based on the latest result
Bars - Each bar represents one completed stage
Grey bar - Goal not met
Blue bar - Goal met
-
Goal - Accuracy under 0.5 inch
Accuracy - Most recent result and change from the previous stage
Red number - Indicates regression from the previous stage
Green number - Indicates improvement from the previous stage
Success - Indicates whether the goal was met in the most recent stage
Success Rate - Percentage of stages in which the goal has been met
Down Time - Time elapsed since the last stage was completed
