Ultimate Accuracy
Goal: Accuracy under 3-inch at 5 yards, 3 shots
-
Practice: FREE TARGET • ADVANCED
Target: LASERHIT B3 or Custom (see OBJECTIVE, Note 3)
Target Scale: 1:4
Firing Range: 1.25 yards
Stage: 3 shots
Goal: Accuracy < 3-inch
-
Use a crosshair overlay on the target center mass. Fire three shots as close to the crosshair center as possible. Time limit: 3 minutes. Range: 5 yards (see Notes 1).
GOAL
Achieve a Accuracy under 3 inches. Precision and consistency are the priority.
WHAT YOU NEED
LASERHIT B3 target (scaled) and a LASERHIT Training Kit. Alternatively, print a free B3 target, use your own laser cartridge or laser training device, and mount a smartphone on a tripod.
NOTES
Range refers to the real-world distance defined for the drill. Firing Range is the actual indoor distance and is calculated automatically based on target scale before training begins.
The LASERHIT B3 target at a 1:4 scale is recommended; other genuine LASERHIT targets may also be used.
When using custom targets, use a solid, dark target surface for best detection. A LASERHIT reload mark is needed and can be downloaded for free from the LaserHIT website (laserhit.com/targets). Set the correct Target Scale during Firing Range setup before starting the drill.
LASER ZEROING (Recommended)
For best accuracy, perform Laser Zeroing for each drill. At the end of the first stage, tap the crosshair icon in the top panel. Align the crosshair with your point of aim and follow the on-screen prompts to register three zeroing shots. Once confirmed, LASERHIT applies this adjustment to all hits in the drill. Re-zero whenever you change firearms, remove the laser cartridge, or adjust your setup.
DRILL DETAILS
This drill is inspired by benchrest-style accuracy work, where the goal is repeatable point of impact and clear diagnosis of error. During Express Setup (Step 2), the shooter must manually position the crosshairs precisely at the intended aim point on the target to establish a correct reference. Instead of measuring group size, each shot is evaluated against that exact aim point. After every shot, LASERHIT displays windage (left/right) and elevation (up/down). Once all three shots are completed, LASERHIT calculates the Accuracy in inches from the crosshair center. This makes imperfections measurable, helps identify consistent bias (zero or aiming error), and reinforces disciplined trigger control and sight alignment for practical accuracy.
DRILL PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
LASERHIT displays windage and elevation for each shot and evaluates performance against the 3-inch Accuracy goal.
-
Accuracy - Deviation (maximum offset) from the crosshair center
0.92 - Most recent Accuracy (inches)
100% - Progress toward the goal based on the latest result
Bars - Each bar represents one completed stage
Grey bar - Goal not met
Blue bar - Goal met
-
Goal - Accuracy under 3 inches
Accuracy - Most recent result and change from the previous stage
Red number - Indicates regression from the previous stage
Green number - Indicates improvement from the previous stage
Success - Indicates whether the goal was met in the most recent stage
Success Rate - Percentage of stages in which the goal was met
Down Time - Time elapsed since the last stage was completed
