B3 Torture Pro
Goal: Speed and accuracy at 10 yards with DA handguns or laser trainers
-
Practice: BLACK STEEL • ADVANCED
Target: LASERHIT B3 x15
Target Scale: 15x 1:10
Firing Range: 1 yard
Stage: 15 shots
Goal: 60 points
-
DISCLAIMER
This drill requires LASERHIT PRO access.
Only the LASERHIT B3 x15 target at a 1:10 scale is supported. Other targets are not accepted (See Notes [2 and 3]).
DA handguns (with LaserHIT HD cartrdiges), laser trainer–type firearms, and DFM-BO–style systems are recommended. NLT-type systems may not perform reliably during fast-fire stages.
OBJECTIVE
Engage 15 individual targets with one shot per target. Each hit is scored by zone. Range: 10 yards (see Notes [1]). Time pressure applies: 2 min.
GOAL
Achieve the highest possible Hit Factor by delivering high-value zone hits in the shortest total time. Maximum Hit Factor 12.
SCORING
A-Head: 5 points
A-Torso: 4 points
B: 3 points
C: 2 points
D: 1 point
Miss: 0 points
Maximum possible score: 60 points
Hit Factor = Total Score divided by Total Time
WHAT YOU NEED
LASERHIT B3 x15 target and LASERHIT Pro access.
A LASERHIT Training Kit or compatible laser training device (see Notes [4]).
NOTES
[1] Range refers to the real-world distance defined for the drill. Firing Range is the actual indoor distance and is calculated automatically based on target scale before training begins.
[2] The LASERHIT B3 x15 target at a 1:10 scale is required to maintain correct spacing and difficulty. Other targets are not supported and will be disqualified for this drill.
[3] Go to Section Get Kit, Extra Cartridges, Targets and scroll to the bottom. You can print the target directly with Print Me or download through the Laserhit Targets webpage.
[4] A stable phone position is required. Use a horizontal phone orientation, placed approximately 2–5 feet from the target, with the rear camera facing the target to ensure a clear, consistent view.
DRILL DETAILS
This drill exists for shooters who already know how to hit targets and want to measure how well they perform when speed is no longer optional.
The drill enforces strict zone accountability under time pressure. Higher Hit Factors demand consistent A-Zone placement, but every hit is evaluated and scored.
Each hit immediately appears in the Results table, showing the hit zone, score value, elapsed time, and split time for that shot.
You must manage trigger control, recoil management, and visual processing without slowing down excessively. This makes the drill especially effective for double-action handguns and laser training devices that incorporate trigger reset mechanisms.
Unlike static accuracy drills, the challenge here is not the target. The target does not move. You do. Foot position, balance, grip pressure, and posture shifts all influence performance. The drill exposes inefficiencies in stance transitions, grip reset, and trigger preparation.
DRILL PERFORMANCE OVERVIEW
LASERHIT calculates total valid hits, total elapsed time, and the resulting Hit Factor for each stage.
-
4.75 - Current Hit Factor in the stage
40% - Current success rate
Bars - Each bar represents one completed stage
Grey bar - Stage completed below the goal
Red bar - Goal achieved
-
Goal - Hit Factor 12
Hit Factor - Most recent result and change from the previous stage
Red number - Indicates regression from the previous stage
Green number - Indicates improvement from the previous stage
Success - Indicates whether the goal was met in the most recent stage
Success Rate - Percentage of stages in which the goal was met
Down Time - Time elapsed since the last stage was completed
