OBJECTIVE

Use a crosshair overlay on the target center mass. Fire 10 shots to center mass. Time limit: 3 minutes. Range: 7 yards (see Notes [1]).

Achieve a Accuracy under 0.5 inch. Exact shot placement and mastered control.

WHAT YOU NEED

LASERHIT 25M target (scaled) and a LASERHIT Training Kit.

Alternatively, print a free 25M target, use your own laser cartridge or laser training device, and mount a smartphone on a tripod.

[1] Firing Distance is the actual indoor distance. Simulated Distance calculated automatically based on target scale before training begins.

[2] The LASERHIT B3 target at a 1:4 scale is recommended; other genuine LASERHIT targets may also be used.

[3] When using your own targets, use a solid, dark target surface for best detection. A LASERHIT reload mark is needed and can be downloaded for free from the LaserHIT website (laserhit.com/targets). Set the correct Target Scale during Firing Range setup before starting the drill.

‍DRILL DETAILS

This drill focuses on exact point-of-aim execution rather than group shape. During Express Setup (Step 2), the shooter must precisely position the crosshairs at the intended point of aim to establish a fixed reference. Each shot is evaluated against that reference to reveal directional bias and control errors. A Accuracy under 0.5 inch at a Range of 7 yards demands disciplined trigger control and precise sight management, reinforcing the ability to place shots exactly where intended rather than merely close together.
